Galileo galilei was born 0n february 15,1564 in Pisa Italy, He was a mathematician philosopher and astronomer.
Galileo studied medicine but he was interested in mathematics and natural philosophy.His contributions include his work on free falls and the use of a telescope .
He tougth mathematics at the University of Pisa and University of Padua.
Galileo applied his knowledge in mathematics when he studied the stars. In 1610 , his discoveries in astronomy which he made using his telescope were published in a book Message from the stars .
Among his discoveries were the mountains on the moon and the four small bodies circling the planet Jupiter.
